Julie, Pat et al,
I have just been looking on my shelves for a book and have just remembered
that I have lent it to an acquaintance saying that there was no rush to
return it. I can't even remember the exact title except that it is about a
man named Price of Penlan who was considered to be a forgotten composer.
The author lives at Bondrefawr, near Pantydwr. The book contained family
trees and I know there was a Pugh connection. I am hoping someone has a
copy which they can consult to see if there is anything included on your
Pugh ancestors.
Regards,
Margaret Harvey

I want to thank Julie Preston, Margaret Harvey, Richard Meredith
& Ken for
their great help in getting me inspired & (somewhat!) focused in finding
my
Jane
Pugh, born Jan 6, 1842 Radnorshire-- emigrated to Toronto "as a
baby" so I
presume 1842 or 1843. I see by Rich's records that 7 of the Pugh
children
were
christened at Maesyrelem Chapel; can someone clarify if that is a
resource
I
should follow up on, or is it more productive to go the "civil
registration
route"? I realize that they may not have had the time or
inclination to
register or christen little Jane before embarking for Canada. Again,
those of
you
who share your expertise with generosity and PATIENCE are such a
treasure
to
the rest of us!! I look forward to the day I can do the same.
Thanks again,
Pat Lewis
