Trevor,
The U.S. census is enumerated in the even years -- by the time they arrived over here, the
1910 Federal Census was already completed. The next possibility would be to try to locate
them in 1920 and 1930 -- maybe in Chicago, if that was their destination. If the free
use of Ancestry is still on, you should be able to search for them yourself. If not,
perhaps someone on the list with an Ancestry subscription might be able to help. The
birthplace will not be more detailed than "England", however.
Regards,
Julie Preston

Subject: [POWYS]
Ancestry.com immigration lists.
Hi to all,
I have used the free access to the
ancestry.com immigration lists over the month of
November looking for some members of the CANNON family that went to the USA.
I was lucky enough to locate 3 brothers and a sister who went to the USA and CANADA.
My next step is to try to locate them in the 1911 census in the USA.
If anyone has access to this census, could they please look for EDWARD CANNON aged 29
approx. born in Middlesex, England. His wife is CLARA A. and son WILLIAM A. were both
mentioned on his entry at the Detroit Border crossing on the 5th of August 1910.
They destination was to Edward's brother WILLIAM CANNON in Chicago, Illinois.
Edward's address before entry into the USA was at his sister Selina Sinstadt's
address in St.John, New Brunswick, Canada.
Although these people are not from Wales, I am hoping the helpful people on this list
maybe able to help.
Thank you,
Trevor Griffiths in Australind, West Australia.
