Good Morning Everyone,
I am trying to find details of the birth of Christopher WEALE/ WEAL who
would have been born ca 1790 in Disserth. I believe there may have been quite a
large family with this name in the area, but I have not been able to find his
baptism. I think I have found his marriage in the parish of Gwenddwr,
Breconshire on 22 March 1817 to an Ann(e) PRICE. They produced at least 6
children all of whom are baptised at Gwenddwr. I have not got them in 1841 but in
1851 they are at Court, Gwenddwr where Christopher is farming 64 acres. The
property continues to be farmed by family through all the published census
including the 1901.
Although I do not think that the Ann PRICE who married Christopher was one
of my Price of Disserth family, there is a link to that family somewhere since
William Weale aged 12 is given as a nephew of my great great grand parents
in the 1891 census.
I would be grateful for any information regarding this family please.
Kind Regards
Tricia Heseltine,
Dorset
