Dear list,
I wonder if anyone can help me further with my Jenkins family.
A very kind person found me some information on genuki in a gazeteer dated 1868 on the
late Rev. Jenkins. He is described as an ingenious antiquary and vicar of this
(Ceri/Kerry) parish for many years. As some of you know I have been looking for my
ancestor the Rev. William Marsden Jenkins who was vicar of Dolfor on his death on the 13th
August 1869.
I do not think that this can be the same Rev. Jenkins as my William was only vicar there
for a short time - perhaps at the most for a couple of years as he was curate of
Llanllwchaiarn, Montgomeryshire on his matriculation from Oxford Uni.(from Jesus College
archivist) . In the 1861 census he was an Oxford student with his uncle Rev. Benjamin
Marsden who was the vicar of Glascomb.
Can anyone tell me the first name of this Rev. Jenkins vicar of Ceri/Kerry for many years
please?
with many thanks
Diana
