Dear Listers,
Further to my message of 15 July (appended below), I'm sure you will have
noticed that RootsWeb has now reinstated the name of the sender and his/her
email address in the 'From:'
line in the email header of List messages.
Evidently the change they had previously made was a temporary one.
Kind regards,
John

Subject: [POWYS] Message from Admin
Dear Listers,
You may have noticed that the most recent messages on the Powys List no
longer show the name of the sender and his/her email address in the 'From:'
line in the email header.
Apparently, this change has been implemented by RootsWeb on all its mailing
lists in response to problems with AOL and Yahoo mail servers, which were
blocking RootsWeb as Spam. I do not know if the change is permanent, but
will try to find out.
In the meantime:
1. When writing a message to the List, please include your name and email
address in the body of your message (e.g. in your signature) so that List
members can see who sent the message.
2. When replying to a message on the list, please check that your reply is
addressed to powys(a)rootsweb.com as well as to the sender of the original
message.
Kind regards,
John
