Are there any pictures of the Shanon Chapel?
Henry Charles and Ann THOMAS MORGAN, my paternal great grandparents, were
married there Jan. 30, 1843.
The following location information came from their marriage certificate:
Shanon Chapel, District of Abergavenny, Counties of Monmouth and Hereford

Dear Lona,
I believe you are referring to Saron (not Shanon) Chapel, which is in
Harcourt Terrace, Tredegar. Tredegar came under the registration district of
Abergavenny until the late 1850s.
Saron is a Congregational chapel (Independent), first built in 1819 and
rebuilt in 1858, so the present building is not the one in which your
paternal great grandparents were married.
I do not have any photos of Saron Chapel on my website, but you can see the
chapel on Google StreetView - go to

Kind regards,
John
