Brynmawr/Nantyglo had many chapels at that time, practically one on every street. suggest
you contact Gwent FHS re: their monumental inscriptions. King Street was (and still is) a
long street running W to E and was the main road from Merthyr to Abergavenny
I have an 1880's map of Brynmawr amongst my collection

Subj: [POWYS] Brynmawr / Nantyglo Burial Search
Hi All
I'm trying to track down a grave for my g-g-grandfather who died in November
1893 - his name was Thomas Pritchard and he's been a brick wall to me for
many years, this afternoon, I seem to have found a burial record for him but
as I don't know the area, I'm a little lost.
He was buried on 28 November 1893 in the parish of Llanelly in the county of
Brecon and his abode was listed as Nantyglo. The last address that I have
for him is on King Street, Brynmawr in the 1891 Census.
If anybody can help me find out where he might have been buried, or where I
should search next, I'd be really grateful.
Many thanks
Andrew
