King Street is one of the main streets in Brynmawr - it is the road coming in to the town
from Beaufort in the west (A407?). Brynmawr was (and perhaps still is) in the parish of
Llanelly (Breconshire), and Llanelly Church is east of Brynmawr: the old road (not the
A465) goes to Blackrock, and Clydach, and then a road turns off to the church before
turning back into Gilwern. There is information about the church at
http://www.thomasgenweb.com/llanelly_church.html. Nantyglo is not far from Brynmawr, to
the south, on the A467.
Good luck in finding the grave.
Best wishes,
Shirley

Subject: [POWYS] Brynmawr / Nantyglo Burial Search
Hi All
I'm trying to track down a grave for my g-g-grandfather who died in November
1893 - his name was Thomas Pritchard and he's been a brick wall to me for
many years, this afternoon, I seem to have found a burial record for him but
as I don't know the area, I'm a little lost.
He was buried on 28 November 1893 in the parish of Llanelly in the county of
Brecon and his abode was listed as Nantyglo. The last address that I have
for him is on King Street, Brynmawr in the 1891 Census.
If anybody can help me find out where he might have been buried, or where I
should search next, I'd be really grateful.
Many thanks
Andrew
