In response to your post regarding the surname NOKES I wonder if you would
like to take a look at my website which contains several entries under the
heading NOAKES.
There is a distant connection in my family in that the mother-in-law of one
of my aunts was Sarah Ann MORRIS (nee NOAKES) who was born in Bridgnorth
1874-1877 (census variations!). She married Albert MORRIS who was born
1877-79 in Chetton, Shropshire. I am not actively researching this name
but just interested because of the family connection.
