Thanks for both replies. I forgot stupidly that a particular parish - by definition -
will usually have one main parish church, although I suppose this can be complicated
sometimes by chapels of ease etc. I will check further the records suggested.
Many thanks

I think that they church is St.Cattwg's. There is an entry about the parish in
Wikipedia, as well as in Genuki.

Subject: Re: [POWYS] POWYS Digest, Vol 9, Issue 93
Hello
I too am a recent occasional user of Findmypast - having only ever used Ancestry - as I
was led to believe they had better pre-1837 parish records. And indeed I found a
transcript and facsimile of an 1818 marriage, possibly between my Richard Jones and Anne
James.
However, could someone please help me with this as what I have is a scan from what
appears to be a bound record book (three marriages per page) but with no indication to
which town or church it refers, just "Parish of Cadoxton juxta Neath" and
marriage in "this church", vicar W Williams. Sorry if this is a bit
cross-border into GLAM but this family did promptly move into Brecs.
I asked Findmypast for clarification but no reply (unsurprisingly, it seems). They also
don't seem to have scanned the title pages of this volume which may have yielded more
detailed information.
Thanks for any help in finding out what this actually is.
