Likewise, I have found Breconshire places having been transcribed as in
Meirionnydd!

The counties I was talking about are not adjacent to one another. There is
no sensible or logical explanation as to why certain Pembrokeshire parishes
were allocated to Denbighshire!.

I think you may find that these were not placed in the wrong counties when
the files were established but that the county borders have changed over the
years, as I have found with counties in the west of Wales.

I have pointed out to FMP that they have parishes allocated to the wrong
counties, but these days you don't even get the courtesy of a response.
I think that like many organisation they now only respond to complaints
posted on their facebook page!!

Folks, having had such a lot of problems with the Welsh PRs on FMP, I tried
several suggestions on the List, and then tried Howard's URL. Thank you so
much Howard for this, as this simply works, no bother at all.
Something I found odd. I put in a clear search for a marriage several times
at Cadoxton-j-Neath in FMP, in the Welsh collection for Welsh Banns, and it
returned 0 results
I tried FamilySearch and there was the marriage I needed, telling me that
the image was on FMP, so I clicked on the link and it took me to the image I
needed, straight away. Truly odd.
So, if you want the
Welsh Collection, use
http://www.findmypast.co.uk/articles/world-records/search-all-uk-records/spe
cial-collections/the-wales-collection and bookmark it!
Many thanks for me still subscribing to FMP Howard!
My best wishes, Jill
