Hi Jill,
Clodhall; Caymegan and Penygraig are all farms or small holdings. I will
have to look at the tithe map of 1840 to verify there locations as they are
not marked on the latest maps. They will all be within the parish of
Trefeglwys.
The marriage and baptisms are all from the parish register of Trefeglwys. If
you would like copies I can get them next time I'm at the National Library.
Please write direct, not via the Powys site. If I take copies at the NLW
copyright laws come into play. No charge for personal use but if doing
research for someone else they levy a charge as they believe it is then a
commercial undertaking.

Dear Lloyd,
What a dear man you are! I would never have found that information without
hours more work...if I had known how to even look those details up. Could
I
ask you a couple of other questions? I saw the 1841 census where a
potential Edwards family lived in Clodhall next door (?) to Caymegan as you
listed from the baptisms. You have also mentioned a Penygraig. Where or what
are these places? I could not find them on any maps. Did the source of your
"marriage" (as below) information refer to which church or chapel ? It may
help me to find out about birth registrations for Joseph son of William and
Elizabeth. I guess the other Edwards " are related in some way to my line of
the family. The Buxton girls may have been aunts or cousins of Joseph as
well. The 1841 census (if it is the right one) indicates there were siblings
Jane (born approx 1831) and Ann (born approx 1835). The strange thing is
that Edwards families living on both sides have children called Ann and Jane
as well. Makes research very difficult.
Thankyou very much for your help.
Regards, JILL in Melbourne
