Dear John,
Many thanks for your so very prompt reply - and giving me so much more
information than I thought possible.
I find the names and places so intriguing and spend hours pouring over maps
of where my ancestors lived or went to school or died etc. I think my
imagination outstrips my ability to find anything worthwhile, but I do try!
Thank you for all the suggestions of how to look on the websites for the
area of Purlogue. The old maps website is completely new to me (I normally
email Alan Godfrey but he hasn't as yet produced anything for Pembridge, let
alone this part of Wales) so I am especially pleased to have the URL of the
site.
Finally, thank you for the address of The Marches website. I hadn't thought
to try that area at all. Once I discovered so many 'Radnorshires' in the
census, I thought that should be my first port of call. However, now I will
try that site too.
It is very kind of you to point me in the right direction with so much help
and I hope to find more of my family in the near future. If you 'meet' me
again on one of these sites I hope you will not be disappointed with my
progress!
Sincerely,
Myra
