Hi Lorraine,
You don't give an age, place of birth or occupation for Samuel and
unfortunately his surname lends itself to being wrongly recorded and
transcribed.
In 1841 there is an entry for a Samuel Greenhow, born circa 1840, son of
farmer, Howard Greenhow at Llandrindod. Is this your man? No apparent
entries in Wales in 1851, although there are 93 in England, predominantly in
Lancashire. None of these appear to have a connection with Wales,
Radnorshire or Llandrindod. In 1861 there is a Samuel Greenhoff, collier,
born circa 1831, Coleford, Gloucestershire, boarding in Trevethin,
Monmouthshire. He appears again in 1881, still unmarried and lodging in
Trevethin. Can find only 1 Samuel Greenhalgh old enough to marry in 1861
and married to a Margaret, and he lives in Lancashire, born circa 1830/5.

Subject: [POWYS] Lookup - Greenhalgh
Hello All,
I am new to this list and would like a lookup if possible.
I believe Samuel GREENHALGH married Margaret FLETCHER in Radnorshire in
about 1861.
I have checked Freebdm and found a couple married at Bury but family
records
say Radnorshire.
Can anyone assist me, please.
