Pursuant to a Decree of the High court of Chancery, made in a Cause "Church
against Frowd" the CREDITORS of DAVID WILLIAMS, late of Lanblethian, in the
county of Glamorgan, Gent, deceased (who died in the month of January,
1828), are forthwith to come in and prove heir Debts before James William
FARRER Esq. one of the Masters of the said Court, at his chambers, in
Southhampton-buildings, Chancery-lane, London, or in default thereof they
will be excluded the benefit of the said Decree. March 10th, 1828.
Thursday se'nnight a canal boat belonging to Mr. MILTON, of Pershore, was
being navigated down the Avon, heavily laden with coals, when, on
approaching the weir near the town, the strength of the current was such
that she became unmanageable, began to fill, and got into the middle of the
stream. Rd. CARE, the captain of the boat, seeing the danger, with great
presence of mind hastened to his wife, who was at the bow of the vessel,
thrust her overboard into shallow water, and she reached the bank in safety.
He then went to his daughter, about 15 years of age, who was in the cabin,
but before he could get her out, the water rushed in upon them, and the boat
went down, and engulfed both.
We are happy to observe that our highly respectable Magistrates, who have
for so many years devoted their time and attention to the arduous duties of
this district, resumed their seats on the Bench on Tuesday last. -
