Hi All,
I've recently come across the following gravestone inscription for one of my
ancestors in the Powys FHS Llanigon MIs. It starts as follows:
P.D. Here lieth the Body of John Delahay who dyed ye 9th of August 1708 aged
55 years.
Does anyone know what the P.D. abbreviation at the start stands for?
....Regards, David Jones

Hi David,
A friend of mine who is a retired Catholic priest suggests it might
stand for /Pax Dei/ - Peace of God.
