Dear John and other listeners:
My g-g-grandfather, William Wade Williams, came to the US sometime in the 1830's or
early 1840's. On several US Census reports, he lists his place of birth as
"Radnor, N Wales." I am assuming that the "N" stands for North, as in
North Wales. Is this correct, or does the "N" have some other
significance? Family lore has it that he was from Old Radnor. Is Old Radnor known
locally as being in North Wales? I have looked at maps but I am unfamiliar with local
designations.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.
