Hi Everyone,
Does anyone know of a cottage in New Radnor called Claypits? If so, could someone send me
a photograph of the cottage or area where the house used to be?
Many thanks,
Julie
Julie,
We'll be staying in New Radnor for seven weeks starting Aug 8 and would be
pleased to take a photo of Claypits and send it to you. I'll watch the list
to see if anyone is able to provide you with a photo sooner than the timing
of our trip.
Carrol

Hi Julie,
Claypits Farm is, or was, just over a mile north-east of New Radnor, about
200 yards due north of Lea Farm.
The grid reference for it is SO 233618.
If you go to the Old Maps website and enter co-ordinates 323300 261800 you
should see it marked on the 1891 Ordnance Survey map.
My grandmother, Gertrude Evans, was born a few hundred yards from Claypits
in Bank in 1890. A kind soul I contacted through this list did me the great
favour of taking a picture of my grandmother's house for me when she visited
the area a few years ago, so you never know your luck.
Regards
