Hi Margaret,
I did access the Br Newspapers but couldn't find a burial or article
I did find this article though
Bath Chronicle & Wekly Gazette Somerset 2nd Jan 1896
"Money due to. Davies, Mr. James Hardwick (son the late Rev. Edward
Lutwyche Davies, M.A., Whitehall, Knighton, co. Radnor):' last heard of
Wilcannia, N.S.W., 1892. Something to advantage. Advt. " Tunes," c. %,
1895."
Their death notices were there as well as a memorium to Ann the next year
Also newspaper articles 1826 & 1860
"Bristol Mercury 18th Jan 1895
The Rev E. Lutwyche Davies, vicar of Whitehall, Knighton, Radnorshire, who
has died at Beaufort House, Clifton Down, at the age of 91, was
educated at Jesus College, Oxford. He took his B.A. degree in 1826, and
M.A. In 1828, He was made deacon In 1826, is and took priest's orders in
1827 In the diocese of Hereford. He was formerly perpetual curate
of Kenderchurch, 1828 -1860; Kilpeck, 1835-1860; and rector of Thurrock,
Parva, Essex, 1860-1867,
That sort of reads that he was in Radnorshire maybe he is buried there

Hello -
I am new to this list, and I have been enjoying reading the postings.
I am trying to locate the cemetery where my gg-grandfather, Edward
Lutwyche Davies and his wife, Ann Hardwick are buried. I have found many
other records for them including birth, marriage, death and census. I
have searched through
www.findagrave.com without success so far. Was it
the custom in 1895 in Wales to be buried near where one was born or where
one died?
ELD was born 8 Feb 1803 in Hay, Brecknockshire, Wales. He was a rector in
the Church of England serving these churches: Kenderchurch and Kilpeck in
Herefordshire, and Little Thurrock in Essex.
He married Ann Hardwick on 5 Dec 1843 in Wormbridge, Herefordshire, England.
His children were all born in Wormbridge.
He retired to Knighton, Wales, and later to Barton Regis, England.
ELD died 15 Jan 1895 in Clifton, Bristol. His will states that he was
living at Beaufort house, Clifton Down, Bristol. His wife died on 7 Feb 1895.
I would appreciate your help in finding their burial site.
Thank you.
Margaret
