Dear Listers,
Powys FHS's Brecknock Group has added a new item to its 'Articles' feature.
On the night of 13 December 1928, a great fire destroyed the parish church
in the village of Llangynidr. The incident was reported a week later in the
Brecon and Radnor Express.
A transcript of the detailed newspaper report on the 'Great Fire' has been
added to the Brecknock Group website. The report includes the names of a
number of local residents and others who attended the scene. The transcript
is from microfilm held at Brecon Public Library.
