Hi Roy
Son-in-law and daughter-in-law in this period and this context probably have
the meaning of step-children so were probably the children of Ann
Pritchard's first marriage to someone called Philpotts - a good clue for you
being an unusual name in Wales. Sorry I can't answer the other two
questions.

Subject: [POWYS] David & Ann PRITCHARD
Good evening,
I am looking for the birth, baptism and marriage of
my great,great g'parents
David and Ann Pritchard! Not a lot to ask for is it?<G>
In the 1851 census they were at Llanelly Brecknockshire.
David Pritchard head mar. 47 coker Brecon Builth
Ann " wife " 42
" Kernog ?
Elizabeth " dau s 2
" Llanelly
William " son s 15 scholar "
Builth
Ann " dau s 13 " "
"
Margaret " " s 8 "
" Brecon ?
John Philpotts son in law 12 " "
llanelly
Ma(r)y " dau in law 15 "
"
Jane Pritchard mother to head Builth
Several things puzzle me...where is " Vernog" it's down as "
Kernog"
also? Can't find it via Google.
Son and daughter in law aged 12 & 15? Is that normal ?
Lastly, are there parish records on CD or online for Builth and /or
Llanelly? I would love to purchase them.
Regards
Roy
