Hi Gordon,
Thank you for your reply, at this stage it is the Griffiths line that I
am interested, if Margaret Miles is indeed my ancestor, I would be
interested in that line also.
I have been trying to find out the maiden name of my 3rd great
grandmother for a number of years now, but to no avail, I only wish that
one of the children were born after 1837 and then obtain the birth
certificate.
This is what I do know, my Evan Griffiths was born in Llandewwi
Ystradenny, Radnorshire in 1786 he married Margaret (surname unknown)
about 1817 give or take a year. According to census records Margaret was
born in Mainstone, Shropshire abt 1789. Four children from this marriage
were christened in Llandewwi Ystradenny. Evan was the parish clerk at
the time of my 2nd great grandmother's baptism.

Hello Veronica,
Is it the Griffiths or the Miles family which interests you? Or both?
I have been searching for years - yes, really years - for some
information which would lead me to the birthplace of James Miles circa
1790, probably in Radnorshire.
Could your research provide any clues, please?
Margaret was not his daughter although probably the correct era.
Hopefully,
Gordon in West Midlands UK.
