Ok Vera, thanks for your reply. I may also need to widen the search a bit.
Cheers
Ann
The Parish Records for Gladestry have been transcribed and are available
for purchase, as are about 13 other Radnorshire Church Records and some for
Breconshire. 0rders can be placed (snail mail) with Mike MacSorley, 20
Hospital Road, Penpedairheol, Hengoed, Mid-Glamorgan, CF82 8DG or via our safe
server at
www.parishchest.com/
I am about to start work on the Colva PRs, and have checked the books, but
there is no entry for the marriage you need.

Subject: [POWYS] marriage c 1853-55 POWELL & ? Colfa or Glastry
Are there any parish records online for the Colva (Colfa) / Glastry area?
I have a Francis Powell marrying a Jane ? and as their eldest child was
15 in 1871 I think their marriage would be around 1853-55. Their son
John
says he was born Glastry, Jane says she was born Colfa so the marriage
is
likely to have taken place in either of those two places. I cannot find
a
marriage entry for them on free bmd or find my past and was wondering if
someone may be able to help or point me in the right direction please.
Many thanks
Ann
