Hi Jefferson
Does any one have easy access to the P.R.'s of Llanfillo, around
1800 +/- 10
years.
Just checked a bit outside the time range indicated and no luck.
(1786-1813+)
There were two Catherine Havard marriages - no Saunders mentioned at
all..
Ann HAVARD, b 1795-6 in Llandefalle.
Now I come to look at your suggested birth year above -she was
unlikely to have have been married before 1806 so I should have
searched up to a later year. I will do this next time I'm at the
Powys Archives.
I think your best bet would be Alan Powell's Marriage Index 1754-1812
indexed by groom. The charge is only made for a successfully located
marriage so there's little to lose. Sheila Leitch always recommends
that - ask her to do it, or ask me to ask her!

Joseph SA(U)NDERS b 1781-6 Talgarth area. Maybe son of Thomas
SA(U)NDERS.
Their marriage does not appear on the IGI, and Llandefalle is
included.
However, Llanfillo is not, so perhaps the Llanfillo PR's will
reveal the
marriage of Joseph Saunders to Ann Havard.
In 1801 a Joseph Saunders became a new member of the Independent
Church in
Tredustan. Ann's father had been a member since 1774.
Thanks for your consideration,
and best of wishes in all you seek...
