Dear All.
I have just joined the Powys mailing list, thanks to help from John Ball who has been very
helpful & to which I would like to say a very big thankyou.
I am currently researching my family name, & would like to hear from anyone who has
connections with my family name, please note ! country is unimportant,
My family line originates from Anglesey, as late as the 1800's, there is many lines
which have "loose ends" to them at the moment,
As a result of my curiosity, I now have a network of family descendants, which are based
world wide, who are also researching there family connections here in the UK. & also
abroad.
If anyone out there feels they can help, I can forward the lines i require help with, at
your request.

If you wish to contact me, you may e mail me directly, or via my website which is

Areas of current interest are as follows.
OS Landranger map of Anglesey, there is farm called Gronant,
2 miles NNE of the village of Llanfachreth.
The grid reference for Gronant Farm is SH 327852.
I've also found Rowen (grid reference SH 756720).
Incidentally, my map shows a "Bulkeley Memorial" north-west of
Beaumaris, Anglesey, at grid reference SH 591772.
Neuadd Gam , I believe means "Crooked Hall" situated in or around Llangoed
There are two entries for BULKELEY in Fisher (1997):
1. BULKELEY, Richard (1533-1621) MP for Anglesey, a favourite of Queen
Elizabeth I; knighted in 1577. He founded the Bulkeley family seat at
Baron Hill in 1618.
2. BULKELEY, Thomas (1585-1659) Royalist commander during the Civil War,
son of Richard Bulkeley; created Viscount Bulkeley of Cashel 1644.
I am also trying to establish, which Richard Bulkeley had buisness connections in the
Conway valley around 1689.
I have a photograph of him, but no detail at present.
Ralph Bulkeley who had connections with Cheshire died in 1601, also connections with
London.
I have details of families residing in the Wrexham area, who by enlarge were Corvisers
& Couriers
I look forward to hearing from any "Bulkeley" descendants.
Yours in anticipation.
Phil Bulkeley
