Rosemary,
I can't help you with the 1832 christening / baptism, but I wondered if you
are aware of the diary of another John Breese, born 1846, with connections
to Rhiwfelen and Llandinam. It is quoted extensively in Jeremy Pryce's
excellent book, "Llandinam - A Glimpse of the Past".

Hi listers,
I wonder if anyone has any information about a John Brees (various
spellings) born about 1832 in Caersws. He is on the 1841 census, age given
as 9, living with Matthew and Ann Brees (née Gwillim). The Parish Register
for Llanwnog has been transcribed, and available on Find My Past, but I
can't find his christening/baptism. I seem to have found John later in life
- he emigrated to Australia, and information he gave on the passenger list
indicates he's "mine" but it would be helpful to find a record of his
birth. I've found all the other offspring of Matthew and Ann. Perhaps he
was just overlooked.
