Bowstreet in Ceridigion/ Cardiganshire - in my time there, has many
happy memories for me. I had lived in Radnorshire, and was a GPO Telecoms man
who installed the new Aotomatic Telephone Exchanges there in the 1950/60
days, and in many other places in Mid Wales, Shropshire and Herefordhire, and I
knew the Tels staff in Aberystwyth very welll, and it seens that none of
the old timers are alive now?? A very sad situation really.........

Dear John,
Thank you for sharing from your photo collection. I enjoyed all of the
photo's (as usual), but particularly the scouting photo's. As you know we
American's adopted Lord Baden Powell's scouting program. Our family has
truly been blessed by this great program. Hat's off to the UK and Lord
Baden
Powell !!!
Kind Regards

Dear Listers,
This week's Retrospectives, just uploaded onto my website, are:
1. A selection of photographs of Welsh Farms in or near the Usk Valley in
the counties of Breconshire, Glamorgan, and Monmouthshire (eight pictures).
This feature was first shown on 'Images of Wales' in December 1998.
2. A three-page feature on the village of Bow Street, near Aberystwyth in
the county of Cardiganshire (twenty-three pictures). This series includes
photos of a 1928 Boy Scout Camp held near Bow Street.
This feature was first shown on 'Images of Wales' in November 2003.
As usual, these webpages will be displayed on my website for one week.
'Retrospective Images of Wales' is at
www.jlb2005.plus.com/walespic/retro/retro.htm
After viewing the Retrospectives, please explore my 'Webpage Archive' and
make your own Retrospective requests.
Kind regards,
John
