Hi All,
I went down to Callwen Church, in the Upper Tawe Valley, this evening to put
Easter flowers on Dad and Mums grave. I put lilac, garden bluebells and
rosemary for remembrance. Mum would have loved them. She wasnt into cut
flowers form the shop, but loved her cottage garden flowers.
It is a lovely valley and the Churchyard is always a very pleasant place to
be. On Street View, it is about ½ a mile east of Dan yr Ogof Caves.
My evening was made when I heard the Cuckoo whilst on the Church yard. My
parents and I used to have a competition as to which of us would hear the
Cuckoo in this, my home valley, for the first time each year. The earliest
time would be 21st April which is todays date! I dont hear the Cuckoo in
Brecon, where I live and really miss it as a marker of the year. So today
was a bonus for me!!
Happy Easter to All,
Hilary
