What a strange coincidence, my father was in WW2 and was an Italian
interpreter and was
also in Italy. I believe he learned Italian in the war, he was in the Royal
Army Service Corps.

Hi Vic Vaughan and Listers.
Nice to see you online again Vic,
I went to the Rock Chapel and the funeral of Reginald Clarke there a few
months ago., as I first worked with him here in Llandrindod in 1949 from
school, in he GPO Tels Shrewsbury Area.......
It is high up from the Cross Gates to Newtown road, and the Ithon Valley
below us, was then covered in a cotton wool Mist. Reg lived in Shrewsbury
later, and had served in Army in Italy in the WW2 with two others from
the
RAD area, but also sadly passed away now, Derek Worthing, and Eric
Williams from Builth, and used to talk together in Italian for fun.....I
will
never forget them all.
