Friends,
All I want to say is that 'Gwyn-Eira' is a proper name, and I
knew a couple of girls of that name, when I was young, in the Rhondda (now
I'm nearly 80yrs), and further more, we have a grand-daughter named Eira.
And, because she has 'auburn' hair' her parents could not call her
'Gwyn-Eira' (Snow White). "How do you like them Apples" ?.
Edwin.

I don't know about it's being a "made up" name, but my husband's
aunt is
called Gwyneira - she is about 70 now. How long ago was the snowstorm?
Incidentally, I know several people who are called Eira.
