Graham Price,
The answer to your question is as follows.
I, Edwin James HALE, was born in Penygraig, Rhondda, Glamorgan, in 1922; my
father,James Edwin HALE, at Treharris, Glamorgan,1898; his father, Edwin
HALE, at St.Whites, Cinderford, 1874, in the Forest O' Dean, Gls.
All the HALE's further back, along the years, were born in and around
Flaxley / Blakeney & LittleDean.
Have got back to the period of 1707, but have to verify the earliest
records.
Graham, as far as I know, I have no relations connected to
Shropshire or Cheshire. Sorry I disappoint you.
Kind regards. Edwin.

Edwin,. where are your Hale folk from? I have some peripheral associations
on my computer data-base re. Hale families, Shropshire, and Catherine Salt
of Cheshire has Hales also, and again a distant cousin of mine in New
South
Wales has noted the name and said one of her fellow researchers had
Hale
in
the family and was going to check that out. Surrounded by Hales!!
Let me know and I'll pass on the information.
