Hi David
I haven't seen the Gregynog estate papers myself, but I have been in touch
with someone who has. He was able to view them at an LDS family history
centre in London. The LDS has filmed at least the Gregynog rental.

Evening,
I don't expect anyone will be able to help with this enquiry, but there
is no harm in trying...
I have a Richard Jones, of Glanrhyd, Aberhafesp (c.1722-1800).
His age is on his grave, described at gent.; held Glanrhyd from the
Gregynog estate and Wern-ddu from the Aberhafesp Hall estate.
Based on marriage licences, I believe he had a sister Elizabeth who
married John Shutt and her burial gives her as born c. 1724.
I've not found anything that is able to put parents to him. Does anyone
know anything? Further, has anyone consulted the records of Gregynog or
Aberhafesp Hall to know if they may be of any use.
David
