Hi List,
Many thanks for that information. I think what threw me is that it was in
the diocese of Monmouthshire
This was in Wikipedia
The Church of St Cadoc, is the parish church of
<
and sits in the centre of the
village . Or is this a different church
This was on the Royal Commission on Historic Monuments

So you can see how I was confused.
Since I am in Western Australia looks like I need to pay Powys Records
again. Last time they didn't send any images of facts they did find. Just a
report. Is this common?
Many thanks

Is this church in Monmouthshire or Brecon? Church of St Cadoc Llangattock
which in the entry has Brecon after it. I am now totally confused so need
at bit of local knowledge here.

Dear Marilyn,
Have a look at the entry for the parish of Llangattock [Llangatwg] on the
GENUKI website, which shows it to be in Breconshire:
http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/wal/BRE/Llangatwg/
Also on GENUKI is a transcript of the entry for Llangattock from The
National Gazetteer (1868):
http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/wal/BRE/Llangatwg/Gaz1868.html
Traditionally, Blaina was in the Monmouthshire parish of Aberystruth - see a
transcript of the 1901 Kelly's Monmouthshire Directory:
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~familyalbum/kstrubla.htm
The original Llangattock baptism registers for the period covering 1813-1897
are held at the Powys County Archives at Llandrindod Wells, where the images
can be viewed on Microfilm 36.

The images are not available online.
Kind regards,
John
