Dear Roger,
Examination of the 1911 Census Summary Books for Traianmawr, District 2,
shows Gilfach to be occupied by a Mr Richards and a female.
Examination of the household schedules for the same district shows Gilfach
to be occupied by Evan Richards, aged 36, farmer, and his wife Magdalen,
aged 40. They had been married eight years but had no children.
Source Citation: Class: RG14; Piece: 33062; Schedule Number: 49.
Kind regards,
John

Subject: [POWYS] Gilfach farm in the 1911 census
Dear listers,
There was an Ancestry facility whereby you could look up a particular
property, this seems to have disappeared, either that or I can't find it.
I am particularly interested in the occupier of Gilfach farm, Traeanmawr,
Trecastle. In the 1911 census.
Prior to that date in had been in the occupation of the Price and Evans
families, but the occupant in 1901, David Evans had moved to Pendre Cottage
in Trecastle by 1911, his son Watkin, was in the London Police force at the
time, and I wonder if one of his daughters and son-in-law may have become
the occupiers.
All help gratefully received
Regards
