Dear Listers,
A suspicious message was circulated on the Powys List this afternoon,
apparently from Sue Corbin <suedoncorbin(a)earthlink.net>
The message contained inappropriate links, which you should NOT activate!
I have temporarily unsubscribed the sender until we can be sure her e-mail
address is no longer compromised.
Kind regards,
John

Hello All,
I posted an inquiry a while ago about my great aunts family and received some help from Dave, Jennifer and Mike....thank you very much.
I was hoping someone on the list maybe familiar with Presteigne that may know more about the family ??
On the 1911 census Richard Davies a draper age 35 born Llanbister Radnor and his wife Mary Elizabeth Davies age 29 (b 1882) born Breconshire are living at Albion house High Street Presteign Knighton district Radnorshire. They have been married 8 years (married 4 March 1903). Also at the house is a daughter Gwendoline Doris Davies age 3 (baptized 25 Mar 1908) born Presteign. They had a son Richard John Leslie Davies born June or July 1911.
Anyone know the family??
Kind Regards
Robert Price
I have a question on the records shown below and would like to know how I
can confirm if the records pertain to two different children, or if for the
same child why there would be two baptism dates.

The only difference I can see, other than the dates, is the spelling
"Catherine vs Catharine". I can check the parish record at the NLW later in
June, but would like to complete the booklet I'm currently working on for a
cousin before I leave home. Thanks for any assistance.
