A birth in 1883 was probably not recorded, however if
it was, it will be at the Philadelphia Archives.
You may be able to find a baptismal certificate if you
can determine what religion the person was.
Marriage records are at the Marriage License Bureau in
City Hall, Philadelphia, or the Philadelphia City
Archives.

I am stuck trying to obtain either the birth record
of my 1st cuz, 2x
removed, Thomas J Mulvihill, 20 Dec 1883, Phila., Pa
or his parents
marriage cert in Pa. - John F Mulvihill, abt 1858
and Mary Convery, abt
1864. This family is 1st found in Woodbridge, NJ in
the 1910 Census.
That's it. Thomas becomes the Mayor of Cartaret, NJ
from 1922 to 1930 and
disappears. Mayor's office only has a portrait of
him. His wife, Gertrude
Bishop dies in Jan 1967 in NJ per the SSDI, but a
paid search from Trenton,
NJ for the year 1967 has nothing.
Any suggestions or assistance would be greatly
appreciated as I have tried
for 3 years and was lucky to get Thomas & Gertrude's
marriage entry noted
from Woodbridge, NJ. Nothing else exists.
Thanks
