Hi, I also know the feeling. I have been looking for parents and siblings of Abraham
Artley, born in Reading, Berks Co., PA in 1800, married Elizabeth Wease in 1822, one son,
Daniel Wease Artley born in 1824. Abraham died in 1862. Have been searching for about 20
years. About ready to say "the stork brought him" you know SDX "Stork
Delivery Express" as my source. Either that or get a much heavier sledge hammer to
break down the brick wall.

Sandi,
I know how you are feeling, I too have been looking for my
GGrandfather David Wright b.1799/1800 somewhere in Pa., but the question
is WHERE?
He went to Randolph Co., and then Jackson Co. in ILL. in the early
1800's, and died Oct. 1849, so there isn't any death certificate on him,
I don't even have the name of his 1st wife for sure!
I keep hoping that someone else will find him as a sibling or son
within their own research, and that I will get a break somewhere down the
road.
Try to hang in there, maybe something will appear when you least
expect it!!
Good Luck, Debbie

Also, I don't know any details about what county or parish my
ancestor
might have been living in - I don't even know how to find the names of
the parishes, churches or counties of that time (1782-1811). I have
proof of him dying in Missouri but only family tradition has him being
born in Philadelphia, so I can't narrow the search at all. I don't
even know for sure what Christian denomination he belonged to.
Well, as you can see, I am about ready to give up. I was just hoping
that by some chance someone on this list might know a place for me
to look that I haven't tried yet.
Thanks for listening,
