Need information on a Baptist Church that may
have been in the Thomasville/Thompkinsville or Mount Pleasant areas of
PA during the late 1820's to mid to late 1830's.
My John Scott may have came from one of these two areas, Thomasville or
Pleasant
Mount. Unknown fathers' name, mothers' name
may have been Hilda or Heigrid. She may
have been Dutch or German. Said that Johns'
father may have been 3rd generation in the US.
May be some family graves in an old church
yard on the edge of Thomasville/Thompkinsville
if the Church is still there.
If someone could do a lookup for me in these
areas I would appreciate it.
Was said that John may have met and married
a lady from the Niagara Falls Area of Canada
in the late 1830's when doing some trapping and trading in the area. Her
name may have
been Neeva/Neda/Neta possibly Running Horse.
I have posted to:
ONT-NIAGARA(a)rootsweb.com

with No results.
If someone could point me in the right direction I have tried Googling
Baptist Churches
in York Co and Wayne Co and several comes up in my search. I would not
know which one
may have been one of the original Baptist
Churches even though it was said that John
Scott's mother may have been Catholic but the
Scott's may have been Baptist and that Johns'
father may have been 3rd Generation in the US. Help if you can I would
greatly appreciate
some help with my "Brick Wall". Martha Ann
Scott, daughter of John and this lady was born
either fall of 1846. spring of 1847 or posibly
early to mid 1848. Unknown when John married
as it is unknown at this time as to if Martha Ann
had any other siblings. Her obit did not state that she did, just her
surviving children at the
time of her death in 1930.
