You are very right. And who knows how many typos are in there. These books really just
serve as a good starting point. It's always best to try to verify with the original
source when at all possible! Just one of many great tools out there to help us.

I've got some of Humphrey's books as well (he did a bunch)...but beware,
I've noticed that he's overlooked some records...so we all need to check
many sources before writing anything/anyone off.
