I was wondering if anybody out there may be able to help me break down my
brick wall???
I am currently researching David Montgomery.
David Montgomery born: unknown, Father: unknown, Mother: unknown, Married:
Julia Kephart, Had three children: Barbara born: 1840, Henry born: 1841 and
David Dunbar born: 12/1843.
He died about March or April of 1844 when his youngest son was three months
old.
I found a biography on his youngest son and it said that they grew up on a
farm in Venango CO., PA However, his youngest son's obit states that he grew up
on a farm in Butler Co, Pa.
I have a copy of the death records of David's to son's and on says that his
father was born in PA and the other says that his father was born in New York
State. I have not located his daughter's death record yet but I am
currently working on it.
After he died his wife Julia married William Layton and I have researched
the census records and the three children that she had prior to William are
listed as Laytons and Montgomery's.
I was wondering if anybody out there could tell me if there is a David
Montgomery buried in any Venango Co or Butler CO., PA or a Cemetery in New York
that may have died around March/April of 1844??? Or if there is any death
record that may lead me to his parents.
I have researched census records however, I am unable to find him in Butler
or Venango CO. prior or before 1840. I guess it is possible that he lived
somewhere in New York up to about 1839/1840.
If there is anybody who might be able to help me I would greatly appreciate
it.
Thank You
