There is a Broomville in County Carlow Ireland and there appears to be one
somewhere in PA that has an Elm Street.

Sheila, I have a program called Space Finder. I cannot find any listing of
Broomville but I found a Broomall in Delaware county. I lived in PA for 67
years before moving to Florida in 1991 and I never heard of Broomville.
Perhaps a program that has the old areas with their modern names would help.
I have heard of such a program but currently I cannot remember the name of
the program. If she went to Scranton, check with the Chamber of Commerce in
Luzerne County and ask if they have any record of the old location.

Fellow Listers:
Has anyone ever heard of "Broomville" anywhere in PA. A 1903 NY passenger
list from Britain states the passenger (and her children) had a ticket to
Scranton with her final destination being her mother and brother in
"Broomville, Pa.". Can't find it on a map and a Google search offers lots
of
hits for Ireland. Would appreciate any help. Thanks. Sheila K.
