Hey, folks--my name is Derek Pegritz, a lifelong resident of
Lamberton<http://www.ancestry.com/facts/lamberton-family-history.ashx>,
PA (just outside of McClellandtown, which itself is just outside of
Uniontown, the county seat of Fayette
County<http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.alabam...;),
and I'm looking for any information that may be Out There concerning the
Hostetler <

Blind <
http://www.ancestry.com/facts/blind-family-history.ashx> Family of
musicians, who lived in my area in the mid-ti-late 1800s. They were
apparently quite famous--locally and abroad--but information on them is
surprisingly scarce.
The Hostetler <

Blind <
http://www.ancestry.com/facts/blind-family-history.ashx> Family was
four siblings, brothers John,
Bartholomew<http://www.ancestry.com/facts/bartholomew-family-history.a...;,
and Jesse Samuel (Sam) and sister Catherine (Kate), who were all born
blind--without eyes--and were renowned as musicians.
All information that I've collected thus far can be found on a Wetpaint wiki
site that I recently established for the Family. The address is:
http://hostetlerblindfamily.wetpaint.com.
Anyone interested can contact me via this mailing list, the post I recently
made to the RootsWeb forum, or directly at
pegritz@gmail.com<//pegritz(a)gmail.com/>.
The Wetpaint website, however, is specifically designed to be editable by
all, so if you have some info concerning the
Hostetler<http://www.ancestry.com/facts/hostetler-family-history.ashx>
Blind <
http://www.ancestry.com/facts/blind-family-history.ashx> Family, feel
free to post it there as well!
I'll post further information, photos, etc. concerning the musicians as I
come across it as well! Attached is a photo of the musicians accompanied
with some text (taken from Victoria Dutko Leonelli's *Around Uniontown*).
