Hello
Could some kind person please help me. I'm looking for the burial of my x3
great grandparents. Their names are William and Ann THOMAS, both born in
South Wales and emigrated to Pennsylvania in 1859. They settled in
Scranton, Lackawanna, PA. William was born about 1830 and Ann was born in
1834. I have found them both on the 1870 US census. William might have
died between 1870 and 1880, as he is not listed on the 1880 census, only Ann
is with their children. The next census I found Ann on, was the 1900
census, as a Widow. The last census I found Ann, was on the 1910 census, so
I believe she died between 1910 and 1920. I tried to find them on the
Washburn cemetery list, but with no success. I have been told that the list
may not be complete. If anyone visits the cemetry could you do a lookup for
me?
I'm also interested in where William and Ann THOMAS' children were buried.
Here's a list of all their children:
- Elizabeth THOMAS, b. 1855 in Wales (this is my x2 great grandmother who
was left behind in Wales with her grandparents)
- Sarah THOMAS, b. 1857 in Wales - married Henry Hammond
- Ann (or Annie) THOMAS, b. abt 1860 in PA
- Mary THOMAS, b. abt 1862 in PA - married Clarence M. Florey
- Maggie THOMAS, b. abt 1866 in PA
- Jane (or June or Jannie), b. abt THOMAS 1869 in PA
- Gwennie (or Gwen) THOMAS, b. abt 1871 in PA - married James M. Powell (I
found James M Powell's parents buried in Washburn)
Thanks and regards
