As more and more of our states history and heritage sites are disappearing
due to neglect and demolition ,to create more urban and rural sprawl,I
wonder if anyone is considering grabbing a big chunk out of Arlington
National Cemetery to make room for a condo or another shopping center.
Please read on and check the historic web links to this site in
Gettysburg,Pa.
Please sign the petition to stop this senseless destruction of our nations
and Pennsylvania history.

The site of the Camp Letterman General Hospital in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania,
is under the current threat of being developed. Named after then-Medical
Director for the Army of the Potomac, Dr. Jonathan Letterman, Camp Letterman
treated thousands of wounded Union and Confederate soldiers, including
soldiers from all states, North and South, from mid-July through November,
1863. It was the first General Hospital of its kind.
