Here's one I sent 3/15 when I joined the list... not a very busy list I
guess.

Subject: SCHWEIGHAUSER surname - SCHRYHAUSER/SCHREIHAUSER
New to list. Searching for my brick wall again - 5th grt Grandmother. She
had to exist before she married my 4th grt grandfather... and I would like
to find her. Please if anyone has info on the following, would appreciate
any help.
Ran across the SCHWEIGHAUSER name in Philadelphia. Looking for Johann Conrad
SCHWEIGHAUSER and his descendents. Don't know if he was German or Swiss or
what. Believe he was a Palatine Immigrant 1740s. He signed "X" the Oath of
Allegience and was on the ship Robert and Alice (I think). He had at least
one daughter Catherine who married Bodo Otto. They moved to NJ where she is
buried. Johann Conrad must have had other children as well. Seems the family
was prominent in the area in late 1700s.
My 5th grt grandmother Mary Elizabeth SCHRYHAUSER/SCHREIHAUSER mar Joseph
McMAHAN in 1792 Pittsburgh. Have not been able to find her surname anywhere!
Think her name may sound like SCHWEIGHAUSER... different spellings of
surnames was quite usual back then and hoping to tie my 4th grt grandmother
to this family. I know it's a shot in the dark, but...??? Thanks for any
help... Penny
