Thank you for answering. Yes, I have tried census records for all over
PA and also in OK as Bertha was in 1910 census in OK - married with
3 children.
Bertha had two sisters and they are all missing from 1900 census or at
least I have not found them. Also, I tried researching all known
relatives - grandparents on maternal side (paternal unknown), uncles,
aunts and etc. They show up in 1910. An unsolved mystery.

I discovered on my 57th birthday this year, my grandfather's orphanage
records. What made it possible was finding him and his sisters listed in
the census, which then gave me the name of the orphanage. Since you know
the orphanage, I'm wondering if Bertha might show up in the 1900 census.
Apologies if you've already tried that, but I wasn't clear from your
message whether you had.
