Hi Bea and other Listers,
This is a blessing because it may help me to find out more info. about my
friend's Great Great Grandfather, Mr. Charles PERRY.
Maybe you can help me. I, first, find Charles PERRY in the 1850 census,
Allegheny County, PA.
He was 12 or 14 years old living with Charles and Mary Stewart. ------ This
is how it was sent to me online. I do not have access to
Ancestry.com or any
other site that has this info. and I am disabled and do all my reseach online
so I do count on help from mailing list, such as this.
Since I don't have the actual census, I am confused about: Charles and Mary
Stewart. Is it Charles Perry and Mary Stewart or is it Charles Stewart and
Mary Stewart.
1.) If its Charles PERRY and Mary Stewart the it makes them my Charles
PERRY's parents.
2.) If it's Charles Stewart and Mary Stewart then I think they were
relatives or friends of the PERRY family in Ireland (where my Charles Perry was born
in 1838).
3.) Either way I am unable to find them in the 1840 Census so I figure they
came over from Ireland during the potato famine.
4.) I am unable to find the ship they cam over on.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Joan
