Thank you for the link information.
One ancestor that I have been searching for was a Mary Brown married to
William Brown. She died 1870 in a horse accident I believe. I have found
her on the 1870,1860, census. There is a Thomas Anslow in 1850 and he does
have a daughter Mary and his wife was Mary. In 1870 a Thomas Enslow,
daughter Elizabeth Enslow and son Thomas were living with William and Mary
Brown. In the 1860 census Thomas Anslow and his wife were neighbors to
William and Mary Brown.
I am trying to find a connection to see if Mary Brown's maiden name was
Anslow. I found it spelled Anslow, Onslow, Enslow. Thomas came to America
around 1843. I have not found him on a passenger list yet. I have his
declaration of intent but it doesn't tell me much. He was born in England
and Elizabethwas born in England (some census say Wales) Mary Brown was
also born in Eng. I just need a document that proves she was a Anslow.

Hi Nancy,
People are searching for a lot of names in Westmoreland County! The
Westmoreland County mailing list is very active. One web site that can help
researchers is the Westmoreland e services. It lists those who have applied
for a marriage license in Westmoreland and lists both groom, bride (and
maiden name) date of application and date of marriage. This can give you
more information to go on if a person wishes to obtain a copy of the
marriage certificate.

Irwin is about 30 miles from where I live, but there are Strubles and Browns
in this area too. Another good web site is the Adams Memorial Library "Dead
A Base". This lists those people who have had obituaries published in the
Latrobe Bulletin. Copies are then available through the library. Here is
their web site
http://www.adamslib.org/catalogs/deadabase/ One more database
that is great is one contributed by Marilyn Wienke. She has listed death
notices in early Westmoreland Papers. They can be accessed here
http://www.genealogybuff.com/pa/pa-westmoreland-deaths.htm . Are you looking
for any ancestor in particular?
