Subject: [PAGENWEB] QUESTIONS FOR PITTSBGH AREA
I have my great x grandma Maria Britton Conrad 's diary from 1898 of her
trip to Devon, England after a 56 yr absence.
She lived in Pittsbgh and mentions many friends in Pittsbgh before leaving
and many Pittsburghers that she met after departing in London, Liverpool
and Paris.
Is there a Pittsbgh list that I can mention these names so i can send them
copies and find out who they were (probably some were well known as she was
connected to Carnegie Steel)?
Her husband Adam Conrad was born in Germany and died in Pittsbgh but we can
not find his papers. Where is best for me to look for census of Pittsbgh and
death notices?
Where is best to look at newspapers of the time for articles on family and
obituaries?
Thanks
Carole
