Sorry, I only know about the area as a coal mining district. I may have
gone thru there a couple times on a bus trip to New York city, but never set
foot in either of those cities.

area of PA. My husband's family also came from Wales and settled in the
Tamaqua Region of PA. Do you have any more info concerning the miners
